Improvements to Roadways in Springdale, Fayetteville and Prairie Grove LITTLE ROCK (3-3) The following lane closures and restrictions are
scheduled for the week of Monday, March 3, through Friday, March 7, 2003, in
Springdale, Fayetteville, and Prairie Grove.
They will allow the Department's contractor to safely continue with work
involving the curbs and sidewalks adjacent to the driving surfaces of Hwys 71B,
412, 45, 265, and 62. The
restrictions and lane closures, where implemented, are generally expected to be
in place only between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. ·
Traffic
using Hwy 45 (Mission Blvd) in Fayetteville will have restrictions at
various locations (not continuous) eastbound & westbound from Hwy 71B
(College Avenue) to Lisa Lane. ·
Traffic
using Hwy 265 (Crossover Road) in Fayetteville will have restrictions in
the southbound lane at various locations (not continuous) from Township
Road to Kantz Road. ·
Traffic
using Hwy 265 in Springdale will have restrictions in the northbound
lane at various locations (not continuous) from Hwy 412 (E. Robinson) to Hwy
265s (Emma Avenue). ·
Traffic
using Hwy 71B (Thompson) in Springdale will be restricted to one lane northbound
& southbound with the outside lane closed at various locations (not
continuous) from Hembree Lane to Backus Road. ·
Traffic
using Hwy 412 (E. Robinson) in Springdale will be restricted to one lane eastbound
& westbound at various locations (not continuous) from Turner Street to
Powell Street. ·
Traffic
using Hwy 62 in Prairie Grove will be restricted to one lane eastbound
& westbound at various locations (not continuous) from Neal Street to
Pittman Street. Motorists are urged to use care and think ahead when
traveling through the work zone. They
should remember to Merge Left Early as
they approach the work zone; to Obey the
Posted Speed Limits and Other Regulatory Signing; to Maintain a Steady Speed; to Leave
Room between them and other vehicles; to Be Aware of Road Conditions in front of them; and to Anticipate
the Unexpected Need to Stop or Reduce Speed Substantially. #
