The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Session in Lake Village to discuss plans for improvements to Highways 65 and 82, according to AHTD officials.

    The informal session will be held Monday, November 1, 2004, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Lake Village Fire Station, 2017 Highway 65/82, in Lake Village.

     The project calls for widening 4.6 miles of Highway 65 in Lake Village to five lanes and extending southward to the Highway 65/82 intersection at Fairview.  Improvements will include four travel lanes and a contiuous left turn lane.     

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
