Section of Highway 319 to Close


March 13, 1998 -- Maintenance crews from the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will be closing a section of Highway 319 in Lonoke County to replace a drainage pipe under the highway, according to Dan Flowers, AHTD Director.

The closure will take place Thursday, March 19 beginning at 9:00 a.m. The highway is expected to reopen by 4:00 p.m. that same day. The affected area is located between Highway 5 and Faulkner County line northwest of Cabot. Indian Lake Road will be signed as a detour route during the closure.

Motorists may want to use alternate routes or allow extra time during the repair period.
