AHTD to Hold Public Hearing on Proposed Jacksonville Cutoff Widening


LITTLE ROCK (10-5) -- The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold an open forum public hearing from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, 1998, at the Gravel Ridge Volunteer Fire Department, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

The meeting will be held at the Volunteer Fire Department building located at 14814 Highway 107 in Gravel Ridge. The hearing offers citizens the opportunity to express their views on the proposed widening of the Jacksonville Cutoff in Pulaski County.

Pulaski County is planning to widen and improve 1.2 miles of the roadway between Highway 107 and Bayou Meto.

The open forum hearing allows citizens the opportunity to attend anytime between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. Personnel will be on hand during those hours to answer questions and take written or oral comments about the project.
