Lanes on I-30 in Saline County to be Closed Intermittenly

LITTLE ROCK (10-7) – Construction of an overpass over Interstate 30 in Saline County will cause intermittent closing of the interstate on Thursday, October 8 and Monday, October 12, according to Dan Flowers, Director of the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD).

Steel beams will be hung across the highway on those days causing all traffic to be periodically stopped for up to 15 minutes at a time. The work will take place between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. each day. Single lane closures will also be taking place each day between 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.

The overpass is part of the Raymar Road crossover under construction between Little Rock and Benton.

Motorists may want to use alternative routes or allow extra time during the construction period.
