Ramp Closure Scheduled on I-55 at West Memphis

LITTLE ROCK (6-1) – A contractor for the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department will close the southbound on-ramp at the Martin Luther King Interchange (Highway 38/Club Rd.) on I-55 in West Memphis beginning at 6:00 a.m. Friday, June 4, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

The ramp will be closed for approximately one week in order to reconstruct the ramp. Motorists wanting to use the ramp for southbound access should use the Highway 70 access to I-55.

Southern Pavers, Inc. of Pine Bluff, Arkansas was awarded a $2,218,798.10 contract for the project. The entire project is expected to be complete later this year.
