Highway Maintenance Project to Cause Lane Closure

LITTLE ROCK (6-24) -- Crews from the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department will be repairing the shoulders along I-40 in North Little Rock beginning Tuesday, June 29, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

The project involves repairing the westbound shoulders along the Interstate at Levy. The repair area is located between the Levy overpass (mile marker 152) and the Burns Park exit (mile marker 150).

To accommodate the equipment, one lane of westbound traffic will be closed between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on the project. All lanes will be open and normal traffic flow will resume at the end of the workday.

Motorists may want to use alternate routes or allow extra time during the repair period.
