Slope Repair to Cause I-30 Frontage Road Closure

LITTLE ROCK (9-7) – Repair of a slope along an I-30 frontage road in Benton will force the closure of the frontage road beginning next week, according to Dan Flowers, Director of the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD).

      A contractor for the Department will be repairing an area of right-of-way that has eroded along the north frontage road of I-30 between Sevier Street and Edgemoor Trail in Benton. The frontage road will be closed beginning Monday, September 11 and continue through October 31, 2000.  The I-30 Sevier Street exit ramp will remain open during the repair period, only the frontage road will be closed.

Motorists should be aware of this road closure and plan accordingly.
