Sign Construction to Cause Lane Closures at Highway 65 and I-530 in Pine Bluff

   LITTLE ROCK (11-29) – Construction along Interstate 530 will require intermittent lane closures in the Pine Bluff area, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

   A contractor for the Department will be hanging overhead signs along the southbound lanes of Highway 65B approaching the I-530 South Interchange on Friday, December 1.  To accommodate the contractor’s equipment, both southbound lanes of Highway 65B may be closed for up to 15-minute intervals between 9:00 a.m. and 12 noon, weather permitting.

   Again on Sunday, December 3, the contractor will be hanging signs near the I-530 South Interchange with Highway 65.  All lanes of Highway 65 south of the South Interchange will be closed for up to 15-minute intervals to allow for the overhead sign construction.  Work will begin at 7:00 a.m. and continue until 12 noon, weather permitting.

   Motorists may want to use alternate routes or allow extra time during the construction period.
