Sign Construction to Cause Lane Closures at Highway 65B and I-530 in Pine Bluff

            LITTLE ROCK (12-7) – Construction along Interstate 530 and Highway 65B will require intermittent lane closures in the Pine Bluff area, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

            A contractor for the Department will be hanging overhead signs near the Highway 65B and the I-530 North Interchange on Sunday, December 10.  To accommodate the contractor’s equipment, both northbound lanes of I-530, near the Interchange, may be closed for up to 15-minute intervals between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., weather permitting.  Once the contractor completes work over the northbound lanes, work will move to the southbound lanes with 15-minute lane closures occurring between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Also on Sunday, along Highway 65B at the North Interchange, workers will close the northbound lanes for up to 15-minute intervals between 9:00 a.m. and 12 noon, weather permitting.

            Motorists may want to use alternate routes or allow extra time during the construction period.
