Highway Construction To Affect I-30 Commuter Section

LITTLE ROCK (8-14) – A contractor for the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will be preparing for construction work along a busy section of Interstate 30 beginning tomorrow, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

"This bond job is part of the Interstate Rehabilitation Program and includes highway reconstruction of lanes and shoulders on I-30 between the 65th Street Exit and the bridge over Arch Street" said Flowers.

Weather permitting, work will begin on Wednesday, August 15.

Lane closure schedule:

Wednesday, August 15

Westbound I-30 Inside lane closed 8 am Wednesday – 6 am Thursday, August 16

Inside and middle lane closed 11 pm – 6 am Thursday, August 16

Thursday, August 16

Eastbound I-30 Inside lane closed 8 am Thursday – 6 am Friday, August 17

Inside and middle lane closed 9 pm Thur – 6 am Friday, August 17

Westbound I-30 Outside lane closed from 10 pm Thursday to a future date. Additionally, middle lane closed 11 pm Thur -6 am Fri, August 17.
